Twenty-one cadets from the University of North Georgia (UNG) have been ranked in the top 20 percent of the nation among more than 5,000 Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) cadets assessed by U.S. Army Cadet Command. Ranking in the top 20 percent in the nation earns cadets the designation of Distinguished Military Graduate (DMG). Cadets are ranked on the national Order of Merit List (OML) by achieving superior grade-point averages, strong performance in the Army physical fitness test, and proving their worth as exceptional leaders in their college ROTC training.

On Sept. 30, the University of North Georgia's (UNG) Boar's Head Brigade held the 2018 Distinguished Military Students (DMS) Review, conducted annually to honor senior ROTC cadets who have excelled academically and as leaders.

Georgia Southern University recently recognized approximately 1,400 students for excellence in academics on the Spring 2018 President's List. To be eligible for the President's List, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

The University of South Carolina Aiken was well represented on the 2017-18 PBC Presidential Honor Roll, which was released late June.

On June 22, Oglethorpe University welcomed incoming students to campus for MAP Day (Making a Petrel), for students who have committed to attend Oglethorpe. During MAP Days, first-year students meet with their advisors, enroll in fall semester classes, and receive their official Petrel Pass student IDs.

Kennesaw State University recently named students to the President's List, in recognition of their academic excellence for the Spring 2018 semester. To achieve this honor, each student must have completed at least 9 semester hours with a term grade point average of 4.0.

To be eligible for the Dean's List, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 3.5 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State.

The Honors College Ambassadors corps is composed of a diverse and dedicated group of outstanding Honors College students who desire to hone their leadership skills, while also contributing to the Honors College legacy. These student leaders serve as representatives of the Honors College at a variety of internal and external events.

The Georgia Southern University Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art (BFSDoArt) is presenting its annual Form & Content Exhibition at the Center for Art & Theatre's University Gallery on the Statesboro Campus March 30 - April 6. "Form & Content" features Art Foundations-level student work from classes Drawing I, 2D Design, 3D Design and Digital Foundations. The exhibition was juried by Michael Marks, an associate professor at the South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University. Winners were announced at a reception on March 30. Madison Pleasant was awarded First Place. Second Place was awarded to Brandon Narsing and Olivia Mainor received Third Place. Tanner Maxey received the Juror's Choice award. Morgan Carr and Peyton Butts each received Honorable Mentions. A total of 12,594 students enrolled during the 2017 fall semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.
